Dear Friend, I want to take the opportunity to welcome you to the Touched Romania website and thank you for your interest in our work. By profession, I am a Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of California. Romania has been my home since 1998, where I am a missionary with Assemblies of God World Missions, USA, working in the area of health care and compassion outreaches. When I first came to Romania in 1996 on a short term missions trip, God placed on my heart to minister to the hurting and forgotten children in Romania. More specifically, I was to go to the places that He would go and be his hands and feet extended. Out of this burden, the ministry was started, and continues today in a children's’ cancer hospital and in abandoned baby facilities in the capital city of Bucharest. In 2006, the ministry extended to include Hagar Home maternal center for the prevention of newborn baby abandonment.
American Volunteers Ellena Munguia Today Ellena is a full time missionary with the Assemblies of God World Missions, USA, partnering with Touched Romania. God is using her in special ways to reach his children in Romania.
Elma Morina A Registered Nurse, Elma came to Romania first in the late 90's. Now she works with Touched Romania as a Missionary Associate, Loving the children of Romania with a passion.

God first called Ellena Munguia to the children of Romania while she was student at Southwestern Assemblies of God University. She has always had a burden to work and care for children in need. After graduation, she came to Romania to work in an orphanage in the village of Ocna Mures. It was there that she truly fell love with Romanian children. After living in the country for six months she moved to the capital city and was instrumental in helping to establish the Bucharest abandoned babies rescue outreach.
